Mattress Composition

Emma’s Original model has won a number of awards, and it is composed of 3 multi-purpose layers. The hybrid mattress is a more recent model, and it includes the same 3 layers plus an additional mini-pocket spring layer.

Breathable Point-elastic Airgocell® Foam

This versatile layer compresses locally, depending on where pressure is applied, thanks to its point-elasticity. As a result, the 4-cm tall layer will keep you comfortable and in place.

Visco-elastic Memory Foam

This 3-cm tall adaptive layer offers concentrated pressure relief, through providing point-specific pressure distribution. It is ideal for keeping all types of sleepers comfortable.

Supportive Cold Foam

The cold foam layer provides support to your lower back and responds to your sleeping position with counter-pressure technology. This layer acts as the primary support for the mattress as a whole.

Breathable Air Comfort Cover

The Air Comfort Cover boasts temperature regulatory features and improves air circulation as well. The general composition of Emma mattresses isn’t particularly cool on its own, and so the side cover combined with the Airgocell foam provides an overall cooling effect.

Supportive Pocket Springs (Hybrid-Exclusive)

This additional layer is exclusive to the Emma Hybrid model. The special pocket springs provide:

  • Greater support for your body.
  • More cooling thanks to the enhanced breathability and circulation.
  • More ‘bounce’ than the Original model.

Feel & Firmness

On a firmness scale of 1 to 10, Emma’s Original model falls in place at around 6-7, offering medium levels of firmness. The Hybrid model is comparatively softer and less firm.

Because of its balanced firmness level, the Original model is generally suited for all types of sleepers. For customers that may require greater pressure relief, the Hybrid model is superior thanks to its softer construction.

The Hybrid model, while soft and offering appreciable sinkage, still manages to withstand high levels of pressure thanks to the premium quality of its materials. Both models do a great job at deterring motion transfer and will keep you perfectly comfortable.
